This morning, after having both written similar posts on personal style, Melissa from Broken Nerves and I decided to unofficially christen this week "Personal Style Week" and we are asking for all of you to take part!
This week is a celebration of everything that makes up your unique identity! We're pushing away trends, stereotype and labels and instead glorifying all the little things that make up your personal style. Personal style has to do with everything--from how you dress to how you decorate your apartment to how you live your life! How would you describe your personal style?
We are asking for all of you who blog to make a post about your own personal style and to spread the word about Personal Style Week. Don't have a blog? Then tell us in the comments. We have already spread the news like crazy on twitter and have created a new twitter trend: #personalstyleweek.
This impulsive idea of ours may not go far. It may just end up being something Melissa and I keep writing about without anyone reading. If that happens, then it doesn't matter, at least we had tons of fun! This isn't about popularity. This is about celebrating the individual.
